HKSF Sailing Training Program, Level 1 & 2 - Sailing BasicsApplication Deadline: July 21$3,800.0By the end of the course, the successful sailor will be safety conscious, have a basic knowledge of sailing and be capable of sailing a dinghy without an instructor on board in light winds. The majority of conventional beginners' courses cover Level 1 and Level 2 and are normally not less than 35 hours.
Please note that the price does not include an HKSF logbook or a certificate if applicable. Courses will only run when the course is fully subscribed, otherwise the course will be cancelled and the course fee will be refunded. In the event of activity cancellation by HKSSA (e.g. COVID-19 government-mandated closures), participants are entitled to a full refund. However, if participants withdraw due to individual reasons (e.g. participant does not fulfil the lowest entry requirements), except for sick leaves with a medical certificate from a doctor, no refund will be offered. Pursuant to the directions of the Government, please be informed that effective from 21 April 2022, the Centre will reopen for sailing activities. The reopening is subject to the following restrictions and requirements:
- Users are required to scan the ‘Leave Home Safe’, go through the temperature screening, and present a valid Vaccine Pass upon arrival.
- Users must wear a mask at all times within the Centre (both indoor and outdoor) except while having a shower or consuming food or drink.
- Each group of users must consist of no more than 4 persons; there must be a distance of at least 1.5 metres between each group of users.
